Marietta Cellars Old Vine Red, Lot #60

Every success story has it’s humble place of origin. Yet while we can fathom a computer chip from a garage, a song from a bedroom, or even a scientific theory invented in a patent office, few would have looked at an empty cow barn in Dry Creek Valley and saw one of America’s greatest wine cellars. Marietta Cellars did just that, and since 1978 has offered a consistency in quality and taste to help insure California wine’s stalwart position in the global marketplace. At the forefront of the company is an unpretentious, multi-vintage red so well crafted, that it is the house pour red wine in many of the most upscale restaurants in the world, Marietta Cellars Old Vine Red. Composed mostly of Zinfandel, this blend creates music for your palate. Full-bodied and dense with silky tannin, as well as a lush texture, Blackberries, Sour Cherries, and Peppercorn round out the jammy ripe fruit of Plums. Organized by “Lots,” we are in Lot 60 of what has been consistently one of the best values in the wine world since the 1970′s. At under 15$ a bottle, we invite you to try a luxurious, masterful, and absolutely delicious piece of American wine making history.
