A couple of great seafood recipes…

Here are two excellent seafood recipes with Italian Panapesca seafood sold at Gallucci’s. Buon appetito!

1 package of Panapesca cooked mussels
1 package of Panapesca chopped baby clams with juice
1 can of oysters ( fresh shucked can be substituted)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3-4 dashes of Tabasco
2 cups of heavy cream
1 teaspoon of Pernod or Anise flavored liquor
Heat heavy cream add all other ingredients except oysters. Simmer for 8-10 minutes then add oysters. If using fresh oysters add with other seafood. Add salt & white pepper to taste

2 2.5 Packages of Panapesca calamare tubes & tentacles
1 large onion minced
3 Tablespoons chopped garlic
1 Tablespoon dry basil
2 cups dry white wine or dry vermouth
1 cup xvoo
1 cup water
Coarse black pepper & red pepper flakes
When calamare is thawed, cut tubes in 1/8 inch rings, tentacles in half lengthwise. Place calamare in saucepan, add water & wine. Simmer for 2 ½ to 3 hours or until tender. Liquid should be an inch over calamare-add xvoo, garlic, onion, dry basil & pepper. Simmer for 30 more minutes. Add salt if needed.
